Day Four in Sydney and a continuation of Holiday Meal Planning.
We actually had a meal today that I didn’t cook so don’t expect a recipe for lunch! It was delicious. Probably a tad to much chilli though. I like it hot but it killed the actual flavour of the laksa. We ate in the food court at Paddy’s Market so it’s probably unfair to expect perfection.
I had to do another little top up shop today. Another loaf of bread (no wonder I’m always baking at home), some shallots, tarragon vinegar and 3 sirloin steak. Most of which is for tomorrow but Paddy’s Market butcher and supermarket are much cheaper than any near here so it made sense to do it while we were there.
Meal Plan Day Four
Breakfast – grilled tomato and cheese on toast
Lunch – king prawn wonton laksa
Dinner – creamy chicken mushroom pasta
Creamy Chicken Mushroom Pasta

1 shallot, finely chopped
seasoning
generous splosh white wine
pasta
Gently saute shallot in a little butter and half the wine until wine is reduced. Add more butter and mushrooms. Continue to saute. When mushroooms have softened, add remaining wine, chicken and cream and stir until heated through. Season to taste and serve over pasta.
